Joni Mitchell

Joni Mitchell a famous Canadian singer. She was born in Fort Macleod, Alberta in 1943.When she was 9, she was very sick with polio. In the hospital, she started singing.  She studied at art school and played guitar and sang to make extra money. After that, she started writing songs and people liked them. In 1964 Joni got pregnant and had a baby girl, but she couldn’t take care of a baby. Then she put her baby up for adoption. So, she didn't see her daughter until 1997.
She married Chuck Mitchell. Also, he took her to the US, they sang in coffeehouses together. She started writing songs for other singers. Joni wrote “Both Sides Now”, and it was a hit for singer Judy Collins. After many hit albums, she moved to jazz music. She retired in 2002, but she comebacks in 2005. However, she released 18 albums that why she won 9 Grammies. She worked with many artists in folk music and jazz.
Conclusion, many people loved her as a singer and songwriter in Canada and around the world. Her song ‘Both Sides Now’ was played at the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. I think she is successful and wonderful singer.I hope for her to be the best singer in the world.
